• Protests in China.  Hu Jintao calling for tighter controls on internet and tries to squash protests in 13 Chinese cities.  As usual,  few Chinese show courage against their bullying and corrupt government. The movement (currently seeming very small, but it's hard to be certain with China's state controlled media) is called "Jasmine Revolution". from WSJ

• Are broker--dealers (mutual funds) manipulating the prices of municipal bonds???  There is strong reason to believe so. From Wall Street Journal.
• Two informative posts, be sure to read them both, on liquidity problems at European banks HERE and HERE.  These tend to be warning sign of huge problems related to solvency and proper capital at banks.  If it worsens it could cause problems in the American stock market.  Taken from ZeroHedge blog.
