Who Is A Good Teacher/What Are The Qualities A Good Teacher Possesses???

I was a teacher for 6+ years (if anyone on God's green earth can imagine that).  My first year was fun but hard.  I feel I did a good job over those 6+ years, but many students and colleagues would give very different assessments of my performance.  All I can say is I take education as a sacred thing and I took it in a very very personal way.  And I've spent many an hour of my life pondering what makes a great teacher.  James Kwak has a nice Post on this at Baselinescenario.
