It just seems extremely sad, and what an early end to an exceedingly talented woman and an exquisite beauty. It's rare I find black women attractive but I had a small crush on her in my teens, and I thought she was a beautiful woman to the end. And she rarely, if ever, dressed in a trampy manner like many of her female Pop music peers. She attended church regularly as a girl. I hope Jesus can give her the joy her long-time husband didn't. What a waste....... but still we're lucky she was here those 48 years.

Music Post For Your Weekend
I have about 30 links saved up to give my usual 2 sentences blather on, but I am too lazy even to mess with that. So I thought I would put up some weekend music for any loyal readers popping in. This is an artist that I like very much and admire. Vi An Diep. She works her craft up in Calgary Alberta. The instrument she is playing is called a Gu Zheng, hers is 14 strings. She is kind of "underground" artist there for years. I think she has incredible talent, and I think she could do soundtrack music for independent movies or lots of things. I would guess like lots of artists she dreams of being more "mainstream"/popular some day. Hope she can achieve that. So any poor/hungry movie directors looking for a composer for your soundtrack can try to contact her in Calgary. Hope my visitors like it. Enjoy!!!

Six PEOPLE killed, Arizona Congresswoman shot
No one wants to see an unarmed woman shot. Anyway people need to calm down. Especially the more animalistic Pee Partiers

Famous Polish Composer Henryk Gorecki Dies, Age 76 (Music)
Music can express deep deep emotions which can rarely be expressed in any other form. And it can carry us through the most difficult times of our lives. Those who can create it and write it give us a great gift, and we should appreciate that gift. Here is Henryk Gorecki's a capella "Totus Tuus". Performed by University of Nottingham's Music Society "Mussoc" Hope it can give some deep or fulfilling feeling on this weekend. Enjoy the time with family and loved ones. Turn it up dude.

Just Cuz I Like It
This album should have got platinum sales, but never did that I know of. Terrific tones and craftsmanship. The drums were pretty good on the tracks. I think this was recorded in an old Elton John studio which Page had purchased if memory serves me correctly. Organic sound beats digital 95% of the time.

Here's to John Hempton and Number Crunchers Everywhere
No wine here in the house now. So unfortunately this has to be a symbolic cheers. I still think John Hempton is Psycho for betting on banks, but his number crunching is just too great and admirable to ignore anymore, so we've added him to the blogroll. This tune is for John Hempton, James Kwak, Mike Konczal, and all those who try to better educate the public on their own personal time. We love you. Here's somebody I heard John Hempton hangs out with, Lou Reed, performing "Small Town". Even has the Truman Capote reference, gotta love that. The only thing that would make this cooler is if Laurie Anderson was playing cow bell or something.

Just A Fun Commercial
Hey Readers. I imagine you will think this link/video is a little odd, and wonder why I put this up. I just think it's fun. Maybe because the music, maybe 'cause the feeling of nostalgia it gives. Anyway I hope it gives you a kick like it does me. It's much better if you turn the sound up on your computer really very high (make sure no one in your home is sleeping first , but just jack the damn thing up LOUD)
