Would Lara Logan Be Upset With This Type of Reporting????

I was watching this and wondering if Lara Logan would criticize Luke Russert here for not doing a curtsy or bow to Charlie Rangel here???  I guess she would have Mr. Russert say something like "Oh pardon me your highness, this is a recording device in my hand here, and over to your left is a video camera, we might use these later, Your Greasy Headness.  Is the light quite right for you sir???"  Hat tip Andrew Sullivan

Stacy-Marie Ishmael Writes A Sonnet for Vikram Pandit

Ok, maybe this doesn't meet the technical definition of a sonnet, but it's a very true letter in response to a sad attempt at revisionist history by Vikram Pandit.  Miss Ishmael is a great journalist and I am very jealous of her intelligence and ability.  But lucky for us, Miss Ishmael uses her powers for good.  I would replicate the letter here if I wouldn't get sued by the FT.  Please read this.

Why Can't I Write As Good As This Woman (Oy!!)

My readers who regularly visit (that would include my Mom, an imaginary friend, and my dog) may have noticed I recently added FTAlphaville to my blogroll.  You know I guess they've been off my radar screen because frankly I don't usually pay attention to British publications (Even "The Economist" I hate their blog because they don't give their writers credit for the stories, so I basically boycott that site).  But I read a very magnificent story at FTAlphaville recently by Stacie-Marie Ishmael about Option ARMs.  That's a type of mortgage which I think (my opinion only) 9 times out of 10 the debtor loses on and the bank wins on, so it's one of my pet-peeves.  So anyway I started focusing on her stories and I think she does a great job, so I'm just gonna give you some of her links here:
